ABC got it right

Better Off Ted has been picked up for next fall! Hilarious, brilliant show. So has Castle and Scrubs, though I'm curious what Scrubs will do without J.D. Here's hoping the Unusuals gets some breathing room too...

Woo! Weeds!

Ollie and I walked through Weeds today, though only in that "house on my non-block is getting filmed" way. (It's TRUE: someone thought my dog was amazing... but not pay-the-rent amazing.) Anyway, judging by the street, Nancy is either back in the suburbs or TJ is wayyy nicer than we expected.

Ironically, my uncle walked in to what we believe is the fantasy and/or title sequence of the next (this) season. It was all filmed at Hollywood and Highland... the mall.

FUCK YOU LOST

As I said earlier, it seems that Rose and Bernard are literally living the dream. Cancer-free, South Pacific island, rad yellow lab, funky 70s clothes, free Dharma food... it is no wonder that they essentially laughed at our "heroes" (minus Kate, the whore) when they tried to blow up more stuff... and called them out on the fighting each other bit.
Retired. Brilliant. Easily the best line of the episode.

Meanwhile and speaking of Kate the whore, there is no way that Juliette would kill herself over a look Sawyer allegedly gave that trollop. Even with the time travel and Daddy issues and becoming the other woman and then subsequent Ben problems... girl has ripped both dudes from Kate's succubus clutches more than twice. Plus she's hotter, funner, smarter and has made out with Angelina Jolie. Unless Kate is harboring some kind of Bangkok funhouse in her special area, there is no reason to go with her... and yes, I've factored in the magical Island push-up bras and non-stretched-out tanktops that survive hikes, falls and bullets.

Hurley and Miles made it out alive... I assume. I still think they should room together in a wacky 70s-era spinoff called "Dharmies" where they live as roommates in the Dharma camp, smoke pot and discuss string theory.

So glad to see Jack is not, in fact, Jacob. Also... so Jacob is a good guy? Possibly the best guy? The light to the shadow of Smokey? And was the dude that wanted to kill him pre-Smokey in human form? (Obv, post death Locke is the dude... does that also make him the smoke monster and if so, are Claire and Christian Shephard also smoke monsters?) Also: was that Jacob's guitar or was he just a DriveShaft fan? (I'd like to see him visit all the Losties... esp Charlie, Boone and Shannon... honestly I think he'd date Shannon for at least a while.) But why did he allow Sayid's wife to get killed in the hit-and-run? Maybe he isn't this "light" or biblical figure the boards are going crazy for. Also, as much as his buddy wanted him dead... I'm still not convinced that the not-blonde is evil, even if he becomes the smoke monster. (And isn't blonde.) Plus, we have no idea *why* he wanted to kill Jacob. He might have fantastic reasons.
(Also, he lives in the statue, not the Temple... so we can't just assume Jacob saved young Ben.)

I'm not ready to comment on the white LOST title sequence... mostly because I've seen the sky turn purple and life went on as usual. All I know is there is a big, big hole in my heart and TV schedule until 2010... and for that... FUCK YOU LOST.
